How we staff the building

Anyone working with pre-school children here holds an appropriate qualification from the Department's list of recognised qualifications, and every member of the team, along with students on placement and volunteers, is Garda vetted before they set foot in a room.

We roster above the statutory minimum ratios at drop-off, mealtimes and collection. Full day care settings must have two adults on the premises at all times; in practice we have far more than two, and every room has a named room leader who knows each child and family.

The whole team completes Children First safeguarding training and paediatric first aid, with refreshers on a rolling basis and one full training closure day each June. Bernie, our chef, is HACCP trained and manages allergen control in the kitchen.
